Riding program - Horse rental
Guided horse rental at Lýtingsstaðir
We offer guided horse rental from 1-4 hours and day rides through the beautiful landscape of our area.
Our farm is 19 km away from the National road # 1 in Varmahlið. Simply follow the signs from Varmahlið on road # 752 (Sprengisandur).
Depending on the length of your horse back ride you will ride over a hill, along river banks, crossing rivers or huge grazing land with free running horses and hundreds of sheep. You will see a small but impressing waterfall and tolt on even tracks or sandy paths.
Tell us your wishes and the level of your riding skills. We will pick the right horse for you.
You don´t have any experience with horses? Don´t worry, we take care of you and your first experience in the best way we can.
We have well trained and well kept horses, easy horses for beginners and demanding horses for the experienced rider.
Our tours are guided by experienced members of our staff which will take good care of you and the horses. Riding helmets and rain ware are provided.
Please give us a call to make an appointment for your ride. Our horses spend the day out in the fields, not in the paddock. If you have make an appointment the horses will be ready for the ride in time.
