Temperament:Greifi has a nice temperament, goes forward in a good speed and reacts well on the bridle. Character:Greifi likes to play and to be the chief of the herd. He loves humans and showes up when someone gets closer but he never walks over someone and is respectful. He is eager and cooperative under the saddle. Training:Greifi is now fully trained and has been used for guides and guests on last summers riding tours. He is always eager to please and to learn new things. He is powerful and does not get tired even during a long ride. Suitability:Greifi is a true friend and due to his character a horse to have real fun with! Description:Beautiful and strong chestnut pinto, height ca. 139 cm, meaning of the name: name of the sea god Gaits:Four gaited with nice movements. Temperament:Good forward thinking, not lazy.
Character:Ægir was a very shy youngster and we gave him much time in the beginning. We worked him a lot on the ground before we started to ride him. He turned out to be a very gentle horse. He has been very reliable all times under the saddle and behaving absolutely perfect. Training:Ægir was slowly started in winter 2009 and got his main training in 2010. During the time of training he became a strong horse with lots of tolt! In winter 2011 he was used as a "Nanny" horse to follow the young horses on their first rides. He did a very good job and was used in summer 2011 as a guide horse for our horse rental. Suitability:Ægir will be a great horse for pleasure and clinics, he is reliable and trustful. Description:Bay gelding, height ca. 145 cm, Meaning of the name: Old expression for horse. He is tall and strong. Gaits:Natural tolter with a very good trot and nice movements. Great and comfortable gallop. Temperament:Glitnir is a horse that likes to take it easy. He is not lazy but he is neither in a hurry. He is very comfortable to sit in all gaits, especially in his clear tolt. Character:Glitnir is very friendly and a charming horse. He is like a rock in the surf. Training:Glitnir was basically trained in winter 2010 and continued in winter and summer 2011. Glitnir is now applying for a job as a tour or riding school horse or as a "private horse" with a nice new owner. Suitability:Glitnir has very nice, clear and comfortable gaits and a relaxed temperament. He will be a perfect family or riding school horse. Character:Hljómur is a treasure. He is open minded and very charming. He learns very fast and is always ready to please. Training:Hljómur was basically started in February 2010 and learned a lot right away. After a break of some months his training was continued for 3 weeks in autumn 2010 and again in winter 2011. He is now ready to get a good job and a nice new owner. Suitability:Hljómur is a beautiful and flashy riding horse for free time, clinics and competition. |
