About us - Pets

Three lovely dog girls belong to our family. They are the sisters Orka and Skutla and Skutlas daughter Blíða.

We got Orka and Skutla as puppies in the beginning of 2009, very soon after we missed our dog Púnktur and they caught our hearts right away.

The neighbor dog made his way one dark winter morning to meet Skutla and from this date is our little sunshine Blíða, born with 4 more colorful puppies in March 2010.

The three girls are very active and very kind but they need a rather strong leadership to keep them "in the line".

All of them are very useful workers with horses and sheep

Joined the family in December 2006, after Júlíus fall in love and bought her for 10 Icelandic crones

Putzi sometimes thinks she is a dog and helps to bring the horses and sheep in from the fields

She is everybodies darling in the guest season

Is eager in catching mice in and around the stable but never brings them inside the house.

Bordercolli mixture from Skagafjörður, born 2007, died in December 2008

We missed him unfortunatley in an accident with a car just before Christmas

Got his name because of the little spot on his nose

Púnktur was warmhearted and talented

Was with us only for three years. Got killed by a car :-(

Snati was a very undependend dog and sometimes difficult to handle but he was a sweet heart.

Three-coloured Icelandic sheep dog from Skagafjörður

Kátur was a reliable partner and friend for many years. He joined us 19 times crossing the Icelandic highlands and on uncountable other rides

Kátur got killed by an accident with a car in front of our house on May, 1st 2004. We missed him terribly and will never forget him!
